I’ve realized that I can improve my efficiency at the office and at home by making use of some terrific software products. I have learned that some can be downloaded at no charge, but others do come at a cost. The first products that come to mind are antivirus software packages.

One thing to remember is that the free virus protection software programs are available only for your home computer. I’ve come to learn that the free software does the trick against the worst problems, but I need to also install additional software to protect against Trojan horses and adware. You need to pay for a full package if you want complete protection that is not available from the free versions.

The world of commerce is moving more and more towards a paperless atmosphere, and to stay current we need to be able to organize files from many different software programs. This means there will be a growing need to convert text files, images and spreadsheets to pdf file types.

With this being such a huge market, it is no surprise that there is more than one company offering software in this niche. If you are going to write, edit and perform other tasks, you are likely to need the Acrobat software by Adobe, although there are other choices available. If all you want to do is read pdf files, and do not need to edit or create them, the free Reader software may be all you need.

Whatever way you go on purchasing using free software, the ability to work with pdf files will be an unavoidable skill. I suspect this is only going to become more prevalent in the future.

The summer has come and gone in this part of the world. If you are like my family, camping is a summer time ritual that we always go back to. No matter what kind of vacations we end up going on, the simple fun of camping outdoors is hard to beat.

This summer, we learned some more valuable lessons from the great outdoors. Like you should always double-check that you packed the bug spray before heading out. In fact, its a good idea to take 2 with you in case you lose one. Put the spare in a zip lock bag and store it somewhere safe like the glove compartment of your car.

We also learned this summer that no matter what the forecast says, bring warm clothes and rain gear. Nothing says fun like waking up in the middle of the night wet and cold. Even more fun is trying to dry clothes by the fire. Another lesson well learned.

Make sure you bring a tent repair kit along with you. The last thing you want is a small tear or rip allowing in all those bity crawly creatures at night. Actually, the bugs weren’t too bad this year but last year, we had a tear in our tent that went unnoticed and at night time, we spent about 30 mins squishy all sorts of creatures.

And on the topic of comfort, don’t be shy to bring along some comfortable sleeping gear. Bring your pillows, some warm pj’s, that comfy air mattress and warm, soft blankets.

Camping can be a lot of fun if you plan ahead, be prepared and are willing to cope with whatever nature throws your way.

Terry has been writing article on various subjects for many years now. This summers camping trip gave her the idea to research how to select a better air mattress for both at home and for camping. For example the memory foam air mattress is better suited for at home. But the coleman air mattress is good for camping and at home. Organic products are made of raw materials that have not been treated by any sort of chemical during the manufacturing process. They require certification and special labeling for people to recognize them. The stress on the environment would be significantly reduced if more organic products entered the market. Lots of items are now available in plenty of product categories from food and packaging materials to cleaning solutions, clothes, and sustainable building materials. Organic products normally correspond to the laws of ecological production, and every country has its own set of regulations.

Non-organic items dominate the market; that is a fact, and using only organic products becomes almost impossible.A first step towards a more ecological lifestyle is the use of several organic items. Start with food for instance and try to prepare all of your meals with fresh natural ingredients that are free of toxins, chemicals, additives and hormones. You will feel a lot better in terms of vital energy and overall health condition. If you suffer from a chronic disease, organic products represent a solution for recovery or disease alleviation. The benefits are manifold and they cannot result from a regular conventional diet.

Besides food there are lots of other organic products that have no toxicity at all. A fine example here is house cleaning. If you manage to replace the conventional cleaners with some bio-degradable solvents that have a minimum of toxicity, you will be free of all the health risks and threats that accompany the use of chemicals. Adults and children alike have a lot to gain from the consume of cleaner and safer materials based on ecological ingredients.

Organic products are now available in many hypermarkets and online. The variation in the offer has even made people wonder whether the products are really ecological or just fake green products. This means that there is often room for fraud, and that there are many so-called organic products that do not meet the necessary criteria to deserve such a label. The authorities usually keep a close eye on organic products, particularly since the testing is very complex and thorough. Flaws do exist in the standardization process, and you are much safer if you double-check the organic products you buy.

Stick a pin in a globe through the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, and it emerges almost exactly through the Cocos in Costa Rica.

Discovered in 1609, these islands were settled and owned by a single family from 1827 until the Australian Government forcibly acquired them in 1978 for a payment of over $6 million.

Lying 2,770 km (1,732 ml) northwest of Perth, the 27 coral islands are formed into two large, heavily vegetated atolls. Not only are they the only atolls that Darwin ever visited, but the coral ecosystem remains intact and you can still see in their pristine condition exactly why they played such an important part in his theory of evolution.

North Keeling, set apart from the other islands, isn’t even inhabited; but you can see extreme rarities like the Cocos buff-banded rail, robber land crabs, and both green and hawksbill turtles among other wonders, under its protection as Pulu Keeling National Park, covering both North Keeling and its surrounding waters.

The 600 or so Cocos (Keeling) islanders live on Home and West Islands, both given over to copra and coconut plantations that only add to their tropical glamour. There is no tourist industry at all. Instead, there are facilities for visitors, sponsored by islanders who take an almost personal interest in everyone who comes.

If you happen to be there, you’re genuinely welcome to participate in the school fete, sports day, or concert night; and you’d be unwise not to join in quiz night at the Cocos Club, or not to watch the annual Ardmona Cup Aussie Rules football match. The tradition of hospitality is both Australian and Malay, representing the origins of the tight-knit community.

The islanders, as much as the islands themselves, have retained a form of unpolluted innocence, and share a mutual respect that visitors immediately respond to. These islands are a dreamscape worthy of Gauguin.

I’ve recently been looking into tools for making it easier to control my various blogs. Blogs are great – I love them, but they can sure take a lot of time to maintain. So an application that makes it possible to control all of them from the desktop is a very handy utility.

It needs to be easy to use as well, of course, but the with the modern interfaces available that’s pretty much a given.

Right now I’m testing a tool from Incansoft, called BlogBot. There have been many similar tools in the past and none have really quite fit the bill perfectly and this one will probably be no exception. But if it does most things tolerably well then it will be good enough for daily use.

The actual test will be twofold – does it work more efficiently than manually logging into each blog and is it enjoyable to use.

I’ll probably write another post with the results when I’ve had chance to put it through its paces.

Yoli is viewed as the “next big thing” within the MLM industry and it opened unofficialy for business during the summer of 2009. The official opening is scheduled for January 2010. The word “Yoli” is actually aztec and means “to live”. Yoli’s main market is the huge 50 billion per year energy drink industry together with the beverage industry in general and they have a new patented technology that take the nutrition at the peak of the ripeness, when its values is at its highest, and freeze dry it into powder and put into what is called a “Blast Cap”. You then take this cap, put it on top of a water-filled bottle and you virtually blast the cap open so that the powder mixes with the liquid and “presto” – there’s your beverage.

So the question is whether or not this is a scam and if you will strike it rich if you join this business opportunity…

Is It a Scam?

The clear answer here is NO, Yoli is not a scam.

Yoli has legitimate products which people will be interested in whether there’s a compensation plan attached to it or not. So distributors are earning money on selling products, not just recruiting new members which is one example of a scam or pyramid scheme. The founders of the company, Michael Prichard, Rick Eisele, Daren Falter, Robbie Fender, Bobby Jones and Corey Citron are all highly successfull entrepreneurs and almost all of them have all built worldwide network marketing teams reaching the hundreds of thousands and they bring a lot of credibility and experience to the plate.

Daren Falter is also seen as the King of compensation plans and ethics in the industry, having written books on the subject and been functioning as a consultant for many MLM-startups during the years. Yoli has a large main office in Salt Lake City, Utah and is not just another MLM company some teenager started from their bedroom.
